The first private Warcraft Forever server

IceDNicco has opened its first private Warcraft Forever world. It sits beside the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a realm: its own client, its own characters, and an x1 rate.

Forever does not replace Wrath. Both worlds use the same website account, but characters are not copied between them. The shop, donate points, item mail, bots, Mythic+, and transmog stay on 3.3.5a.

Forever rates are x1. Experience from kills, quests, and exploration, plus honor, gold, reputation, and skills, are all set to 1. This is not the x10 rate of the Wrath world.

What already works. You log in with the same email and password as on wow.icednicco.online. The website password is 8 to 16 characters. The Forever account is created or refreshed when you register, log in on the website, or change that password. The realm name is IceDNicco. The client is 1.60.1, build 70245. The website and the launcher show whether this world is accepting connections. On the ruleset screen, Normal is the mode that enters IceDNicco.

How to connect. Register on the website if you do not have an account yet, and log in at least once after this world opened. In the IceDNicco launcher choose Forever, pick an empty folder, and press Install / Update. The launcher downloads the client (about 63 GB) and writes the portal, hosts file, and certificate. Use launcher 1.7.99. Do not start Battle.net, and do not start WowB.exe by hand. The launcher writes the portal trinity.actual.battle.net, the hosts file, and the certificate. When you enter the realm the game may freeze for a moment. That is the launcher writing the region key. Do not close the game during that freeze. On the screen Choose Your Gameplay Ruleset, choose Normal. In the client, the login is the website email and password, not the 3.3.5a account name.

Current limits. Only the Normal ruleset is open. PvP, RP, and Hardcore do not accept players. Rates stay at x1, without the Wrath bonuses. A full playthrough of quests, dungeons, and raids is not confirmed yet: the world is up and you can enter the game, but every zone has not been checked from start to finish. If something breaks in game, send a bug report on the website.

If you cannot get in. Make sure the launcher is 1.7.99 and that you have already logged in on the website with this password. Choose Normal, not another ruleset. If you are disconnected before you enter the world, close the game and press Play again. Do not start the client outside the launcher. To see the x1 rate in the launcher, close it and open it again: the status is read when the window opens.
