Hyldsmeet Proto-Drakes at the Temple of Storms circle their routes again. Use the Hyldnir Harpoon to jump between them and kill the riders for The Drakkensryd (12886).

Frostbrood Skytalons fly their Icecrown routes again and Forgotten Depths Underkings walk instead of standing still. Webbed Crusaders for Scourge Tactics (13008) can be attacked and freed.

Bots join your battleground faster and only when a real player is in that queue. They no longer start empty matches or keep Deserter. Strand attackers click the relic, stay on one side, and escort demolishers; defenders shoot vehicles from wall cannons and leave the guns when that gate falls. World crash after SotA end is fixed. Summon/revive bots is blocked during a boss fight. Level-80 bots wear mixed 200–252 gear.

Weapon slots list collected looks again, including on a legendary you are wearing. Any collected weapon can go on any equipped weapon (1H/2H, melee, ranged, wand). Cloth-on-plate and the other armor mixes are unchanged. Relog, talk to Warpweaver, and click the weapon slot. Update the Transmog addon from the launcher (1.0.5). Demolishers on Strand of the Ancients now hurl boulders and ram the live gate instead of rolling up and sitting idle. Needs a world recreate (modules image).

Matches still open as soon as a small group is ready, then bots keep joining until Warsong is 10v10, Arathi / Eye / Strand 15v15, Alterac and Isle 40v40. Needs a world recreate (modules image).

Warsong can open at 3v3, Arathi / Eye / Strand / Random at 5v5, Alterac and Isle at 8v8. Bots keep filling to the map cap. Queue the map you want for the fastest pop.

Attacking bots now board demolishers and fire at the live gate instead of walking through the door mesh. Defenders can use wall cannons. Graveyard runs wait until both doors of that pair are down. Needs a world recreate (modules image).

Matches no longer wait for a full Warsong 10 / Arathi 15 / Alterac 40 before the doors open. They start at the stock minimum (5–20) and bots keep filling to the map cap. Queue the battleground you want.

1.7.43 pinned safe video/sound CVars on every Play, even when they were already set. Rewriting Config.wtf and then starting Wow.exe caused a one-shot Error #132 on Windows 11 (second Play worked). 1.7.44 writes the file only if a value actually changed, and does not wipe item/quest cache again if you retry within two minutes.

Play now forces software sound, no MSAA, and Direct3D 9. Hardware sound and 4x MSAA are a common ACCESS_VIOLATION (Error #132) on Windows 10/11 with the 3.3.5a client. Close the old launcher — it self-updates.

32-bit Wow.exe is capped at 2 GB unless Large Address Aware is set. 1.7.42 turns that flag on at Play / Install so the client can use up to 4 GB on 64-bit Windows (8 GB is not possible). Existing launchers self-update from the signed manifest. Close the old launcher first.

MMOTOP is no longer a Vote Points site. Vote on TopG, GTop100, Arena-Top100, MMtop100, BestGames, or GameTop from the cabinet.

The cabinet no longer credits Vote Points on an honor-system button. Open the banner, complete the ranking captcha, then press Check (or wait for automatic credit). +10 VP per site every 22 hours.
