Fixes, additions, and improvements shipped to IceDNicco.
Forever core from 14 October. Tauren Cultivation grows a personal herb. Brill paladin trainer and the Peacekeeper are mounted. Armor auras and the new warrior/druid talent scripts are in. The official Forever database was compared and not used to replace our world: every table was already there, and characters were kept. Client stays 1.60.1.70338.
Forever PlayerbotV2 is live. Launcher 1.8.0 installs ForeverBots (/fb). Forever Shop points match website DP 1:1. Ranking votes credit +1 DP per site every 22 hours after confirmation. Details on the News page.
Forever Shop points now match website donation points 1:1 when you receive DP. The in-game Shop window sells gold packs, prestige mounts, epic gear, cosmetics and character services. The website Forever shop mails the same items (character must be offline). Guides: /forever/guides.
Forever staff can .tele GMIsland for class sets, weapons, jewelry, supplies and mounts (creature entries 990000–990018).
Players: open /forever on the site for the four-step guide (account, launcher 1.7.99+, client 1.60.1.70338, realm login).
Forever Install / Update now downloads WowB.exe and WowB_loader.dll for build 1.60.1.70338 from IceDNicco, not only the build metadata. An older WowB left in place with a new .build.info caused StartupFiles schema crashes. Close the game, open the launcher, and press Install / Update. Do not delete the client folder.
The Forever core tip is live. The in-game Shop handles shop points, products from world.shop_*, the Gold Market, character services, realm transfers, and the character-screen boost. Hall of Thanes is available as a dungeon. Use client 1.60.1.70338 and launcher 1.7.99 or newer.
The Forever realm now accepts client 1.60.1.70338. Open the IceDNicco launcher (1.7.99 or newer), choose Forever, and press Install / Update. An already installed folder gets the new data blobs and a fresh WowB.exe from IceDNicco — do not delete the game folder. Close the game before the update.
A 1.60.1.70291 client can no longer enter the realm after this cutover.
An already installed Forever client updates to 1.60.1.70291 without downloading the game again. The launcher fetches about 1 GB of new data from Blizzard, then WowB and our launch files from IceDNicco. Do not delete the game folder. Close the game, open the launcher, and press Install / Update.
Quest Seeking Refuge shows the marker from this client build.
A 1.60.1.70245 client can no longer enter the realm.
The Forever realm now accepts client 1.60.1.70245. Open the IceDNicco launcher, choose Forever, and press Install / Update. The launcher downloads the changed files. Do not delete the game folder. Close the game before the update. English, Russian, and German text and speech are in this client.
A 1.60.1.70205 client can no longer enter the realm.
Conflagrate can be cast again: Immolate leaves the mark it was missing. Shadowburn arms the soul-shard aura before the killing blow, so the shard is created. A weapon enchant effect fires once per proc. A temporary weapon enchant glows again and does not remove a transmog illusion.
Paladin auras of the same rank no longer stack from one paladin. A second control effect, such as fear or polymorph, is checked before the spell is allowed. Dispel respects immunity. The Sentry totem aura drops when the totem despawns.
A hunter pet follows and returns to the same spot, grows in step with its level, and the classic Taming the Beast quests work for humans and the old rods. Companion pets keep their level.
Green suffixes such as of the Monkey and of the Owl apply again. Read Ley Line at a ley line also grants Energized. Motivated on a Tirisfal deathguard counts for Discipline. Zephras crowds are capped per area, and the latest undead paladin quest data is in. Deleting a character also removes that character's PvP talents.
Install was starting the full 37 GB torrent again even when the game was already on disk, sitting at 0 B/s, then downloading slowly and repeating on the next click. A folder that can already launch stays in place. Do not delete the client folder.
Install was fetching the 3 MB torrent file even when the HD client was already on disk, then stopping around 300 KB and saying the connection dropped. A folder whose archives are already the right size now stays in place. Do not delete the client folder.
The 3 MB torrent file downloaded, then the local download engine refused it because the request was over 2 MB, and the launcher said the connection dropped. Update the launcher and press Install / Update again. Do not delete the client folder. A speed of 0 while files already on disk are checked is normal.
Install no longer stops when the HD folder is already on disk but the resume file is missing. It checks the files in place (speed stays at 0 during the check) and downloads only what is damaged or missing. Do not delete the folder. Windows may ask for network access again because the launcher file changed.
If Play was pressed before the torrent finished, Wow.exe was already there but the data archives were not, and the game said the client was corrupted. Update the launcher, then press Install / Update and wait until tens of GB finish. The first launch after the update checks the files and downloads anything still missing. Do not delete the folder.
